Sports is a culture because...

Sports is a culture in many ways. From football to soccer sports has grown into a whole new culture and environment that billions of people across the world are a part of. People who are involved in the sports world have a certain mindset, belief, and attitude towards their particular sport of interest. It may be the need to change a rule, or the regulation of performance-inhancing substances. People who are truly interested in sports are totally committed to it. From watching football all day Saturaday to going to a football game when its minus thirty degrees.

Human Behavior

Human Behavior is the collection of actions and behavior exhibited by human beings. Behavior is influences by emotions, beliefs,cultures, and everything around us. To the left is photograph of Times Square in New York City. I choose this photo as a representation of human behavior because it symbolizes the world around us. Everything imaginable in the world influences humans in way we realize and ways we don't. From the media, friends, and everyday living we are in constant evolution as a result of a constantly changing environment. Whether it be good or bad our behavior is predicated on influences from New York City, like this photo, to Hong Kong, and across the world.

Human Nature

Human nature is humans natural inclinations to the things and the world around them. When searching for a piece of art that best embraces this concept of human nature, this painting to the right stuck out immediately. This picture shows how human will always be innovative, creative, explore, and conquer the world around them. This picture shows how through our imaginations we will make the best of our situations and plight.

Human Condition: Art Form

The human condition steadily grows worsens everyday. People are starving in Africa, people are dying in ghettos in all cities, and corruption infest governments across the globe. Something has to be done to right these many wrongs in the world. Something has to be done to feed the children, clean the ghettos, and right the governments oppressing their constituents. Where has the love for fellow men gone? Are we that so insensitive to let these atrocities thrive in a world with abundant resources and food? The human condition has been better and the only way its going to change is by individual committing themselves to the cause. Though only a picture it shows the human condition in its most elemental form. Hungry, starving children are just an inexcusable plight.

Artist In Society

Some of the under-appreciated, and under-recognized people in society, ironically are some of the most brightest and talented individuals. Artist have a weird and unique role in society. Artist have so much to contribute and give to the world around them if only they have the avenues to foster their creations. Artist constantly struggle with finding financial backing, studio time, and places to showcase their work. If only we as fellow inhabitants would just see all the priceless, and timeless artworks that never reach their full potential. The day when artist talented works, meets a world hungry for quality art will be the day when artist take their rightful place as elite individuals in society.

Public Art

Public art is all around us. It serves so
many purposes that few ever realize.
It can be found in a little farm town to
a city of millions. Works of art like the one to the right inspire so many people from tourist to everyday people commuting to their jobs. Public art instills a sense of appreciation to the young and the old.

Dance

Dance is one of the various art form that we as humans use to express ourselves. It takes a lot of talent, time, coordination, and years of training to perfect this skill. It truly requires a gifted mind, an artist, to handle the level of difficulty in dancing. Only an artist can create such inspiring and innovative choreography that awes crowds and pleases audiences around the world. Dance connect with the mind not through sound like music of literature but through body movements and gestures. This awesome aspect of dance makes it unique to the art world. From cool dancers on you tube to the world class dancers of Julliard everyone can relate to dance. It has been around since ancient times with things such as tribal rain dances to now with the ever evolving dance seen. Dance is one the essential components of the awesome art world.

Human Struggle in art form

The Human struggle has been, is, and will always be present in the human race. Its just a part of who we are as human beings. Since the beginning of the creation/evolution(which ever you believe in), people have always been at odds with one another. One the best ways to show the human struggle is through the arts. On of the best examples of the human struggle in art form is the sculpture depicting American soliders raising a flag at Iwo Jima. This image has been replicated so many artist which shows just how a true example it is. Wars are a means through which humans try to exert their ideas and values on other people. So the sculpture being a result of a war further enhances its awesome example of the human struggle

I Know What Art Is: BMW

Everyone has their own idea and opinion on what they consider to be art. Maybe a picture of a baby playing outside, of one of Picasso's great works people know what they deem as art. In my opinion with out a doubt in my mind the auto maker Barbarian Moter Works (BMW) and all of their line of cars is most definitely art. BMW are so slick, beautiful, and graceful cars, made in Germany and shipped across the world they are in high demand by many people. As time goes on this line of cars seem to get better and better. From the new small compact one series to the road monster seven series these cars have it all. For these cars to be so successful year after year it takes true artist to design the cars to the consumers taste. These cars designers art true artist in their own respect and their ideas are implemented into these cars that are true works of art.

Fashion is Art

Fashion is art period. From clothing, shoes, jewelry, and even accessories it takes a lot to look good when you hit the streets. Before anyone ever speaks a word, most people will look a person up and down from head to toe. If you look tacky and do not match trust me people notice. It takes a creative eye to design and perfect clothing to be worn by the masses. Its easy as consumer of clothes to just take for granted all the clothes we wear. Ever single item of clothing had to be designed and analyzed by fashion designers all across the globe. So next time you hit the streets wearing yo high heels or that fresh polo know, that you are wearing a piece of art.

High Are the best years in life. There are many reasons that make high school so special. High school is an awesome time with an unique blend of characteristics. High school is a time where you can go through the motions in the classroom and still make an A. High school comes alive on Friday nights in the fall when football reigns supreme. Being late for class to see your buddies or sweetheart is an all-time pastime. From the nasty school food to the crazy yet loving teachers, high school has it all. Even things that might seem insignificant such as riding the school bus in the morning. Trust me speaking from personal experience when the days of high school are over and college is in full swing..that high school that seem like a federal maximum security prison will seem like a lost home.

College Football is one, if not the most, popular sport in America. Every Saturday millions of fans filled college stadiums in anxious to cheer their team on to victory. From classic rivalry games like Michigan and Ohio State to powerhouse football like U.S.C, Georgia, and Notre Dame. But, in my opinion the school that captures the essence of college football is the University of Florida. In the fall thousand of fans pack its football stadium, dubbed The Swamp, to watch the likes of Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin perform. The awesome view of watching 100,000 fans do the gator chop to the deafening roar is inspiring. If you are new to America and you wanna see college football in its finest form head down to Gainesville and watch the Gators play!

Art Education In Schools

In recent years there has been a major decline in the allotted time children are educated about art. As school's curriculum get tougher and the push for a better educational system grows art is being put on the back burner.What many school officials do not realize is that by cutting back on the arts the educational system is digressing. The main goal of school in America is not to increase standardized test scores but to develop well rounded human beings. Everything is art from a pretty picture to the earth itself. If schools do not inform and educate the children about the arts then they are making children ignorant to the world around them.

My Left Brain/My Right Brain

My Left Brain:

My left brain is from which intellectual thinking originates. Words, sounds and verbal processes occur here. Numbers and sequences are processed and analyzed in the left brain. Imagination and creativity is nonexistence. Logic, black and white, and critical thinking is prevalent and dominant.

My Right Brain:

Non-verbal reigns supreme in the right brain. My intuition on every aspect of life takes form in this cerebrial region. The rhythm of life and music is generated in the right brain. My long hours of creative and wondwerful daydreams and plans for the future is a part of daily right brain function. My right brain sees the world through visual, spatial and colorful eyes.

When I researched the Graffiti I was amazing by my findings. The level of detailed, artistry, and time devoted to these pieces is astounding. It shocked me that people were even questioning its legitimacy as art. Some of the artwork involved in the Graffiti Beat is some of the most beautiful works I have ever laid my eyes on. From the mixture of warm and cool colors to the wonderful places Graffiti Beat is found, its no question of its artistic validity.

When people begin to recognize the Graffiti Beat as art they will find it easy to appreciate it for what it adds to the art world. Diorama Drama

• A diorama that taught me something I did not know.
• During the presentations of the dioramas I came across on in particular that touched me. It was the one discussing the prevalence of child abuse in America. It really opened my eyes to just how many children are being abused in America roughly 3.5 million to be exact.

A diorama that is very creative

In my opinion the diorama portraying the horrible conditions America's beaches are in due to pollution was very creative. I thought the person who did this diorama put a lot of time and effort into their work of art.

I oppose the opinion of this diorama

The diorama concerning the issue of a playoff in college football did not sit well with me. I strongly oppose the idea of college playoff, plus at least in this near future, that is not feasible anyway. College football is so popular all across America as is "so if it ain't broke don't fix it".

I oppose the opinion of this diorama but i can see where he/she is coming from.

The diorama discussing big business corporations and the greed struck me two different ways. They argued the point that businesses do not cater to customers which is sometimes true. But of businesses did not care about there consumer then why would we continue to buy the product?

The artist of this diorama was really bold. How?

Divorce is a social issue that affecting millions of people across the world. The artist of this certain diorama did this hot topic just by doing a bold but yet classy diorama. I thoroughly enjoyed this artwork.

How did it feel for me as a diorama artist--

1. It felt so good for me to express my feelings for a worldly issues through a creative medium such as a diorama.
2. I felt scared but proud of my artwork at the same time. I was scared because I did not know how the reactions of my peers would be to my issue and how their opinions would affect me. I was also proud because i felt I did a very good job in my diorama and i believe i put forth my best effort.
3. The creative process gave me insight into how an artist works and operates to create a beautiful peace of work. It was also a very good experience to express how I feel about a topic through an unordinary avenue.

Film as Art

Many films have caught my eyes for various reasons. Some films such
as Titanic inspired me with its touching and awesome story line. Also films likes Matrix catch my eye with amazing special effects and camera usage. But when it comes to films, one in particular is a step above the rest. Ray, staring Jamie Foxx, is a movie with a special and unique blend of all the essentials that go into making a good movie. One of the main reasons I consider this movie a work of art is the level of acting that went into making this movie. Jamie Foxx especially had to devote a great deal of effort research and extra time to imitating one of the greatest artist of all time Ray Charles. Foxx went to great lengths such as actually gluing his eyes closed during the filming of the movie to accurately portraying his character to the best of his abilities. Intangibles such as this make this a work of art.

Architectue is Art.

The Bird's Nest in Beijing, China was recently used in the 2008 Olympic games. In preparation for the Olympic games some of china's top engineers came together to construct this awesome stadium. China's engineers incorporated and implemented some the most new and innovative design features into this work of art. The stadium's structure itself is unprecedented. Created completely independent from the rest of the stadium the caging around the stage is one of a kind in the world. also elements such as the stadium's high resistance to earthquake damage has helped to make this piece of architecture one of the most fascinating in the world.

A Work of Art (Muisc Video)

Considering my love for Micheal Jackson, its no surprise that I selected one of his videos as a work of art. Thriller isn't just your regular ordinary video. One of Jackson's most popular songs, and seen by millions and millions, Thriller is one of the most recognizable songs and videos in the world. If you take the thirteen plus minutes to watch the video and really analyze it its so amazing to see how much effort, thought, time, and talent went into creating this masterpiece. So many times I've seen numerous people try and dance the choreography of this song, just another piece of evidence to the true artistic value of this classic music video.

Art Project (Diorama)

The background behind this post is an project in art class in which we were to make a diorama on a certain issue in the world today. Upon hearing the instructions I immediately knew I wanted to do mine on the Los Angeles Lakers. In the sports world there has been recent debate on which NBA franchise is the greatest of all time. Many believe it the Boston Celtics and some believe its the Lakers. Through my diorama and creativity I believe I strongly presented my case for the LA Lakers.

I'm Having a Catharsis

Micheal Vick...the name has so many connotations, images, and emotions associated with it. Yes, Micheal Vick committed crimes against dogs, and yes he paid his debt to society in a federal penitentiary. The cause of the catharsis that I'm having is why its so hard for people to forgive this man's wrong. Vick has served his time and he is entitled to live his life as he sees fit, so why is it so hard for many American who claim to be of a protestant faith to forgive him. Is not forgiveness one of the basic components of many religions. There have been cold blooded killers who have not received this much attention. The way people have responded to Vick you would think dogs are more important than human. Instead of worrying about Vick worry about yourself let he who is without sin cast the first stone. In summary the man has served his time let him live his life.

My Favorite Artist

Entertainer, humanitarian, icon, the list goes on. Micheal Jackson was the greatest human being to grace the stage. His songs reached all races, cultures, and nationalities. From songs that made you want to dance like Thriller, P.Y.T. and Bad to song that touched the soul like Human Nature. The definition of greatest is two words long... Micheal Jackson.
